May Newsletter
There’s a lot to be cheerful about this month – from our flagship bar’s first birthday to Father’s Day, and all those exciting new releases in between. We’re also deep into the spring/summer events season, and we’d love for you to join us at every possible celebration. Let’s take a look at recent happenings around the brewery, and a peek at what you’ve got to look forward to...
Something In The Winnings
To celebrate the release of our Alien: Romulus collaboration sour, Something In The Water, we hosted a competition to send a lucky winner away to visit a city of their choice, with a travel allowance, overnight 4* hotel stay, tickets to a science museum and an escape room experience. Natalie and her partner recently enjoyed their prize, and shared these fantastic pictures.
"We ended up going to Newcastle last month and had a blast! Thank you all so much for the trip!". Thanks for entering the competition, Natalie, and we’re glad you had an amazing time! If you enjoyed Something In The Water and are looking for your next sour fix, don’t miss our recent Vault City collaboration ‘Defiant Jazz’.
Coeliac Awareness Month
May is officially designated to raise awareness of coeliac disease and the impact that it has on 1 in 100 people in the UK. We’re proud to list our best-selling session IPA, Lumina, year-round as a gluten free beer since its launch in 2020, and this month we are hosting a special Gluten Free Showcase beer box through our webshop.
This box (freshly updated today!) sees both gluten free Siren beers and a series of gluten free guest beers from the likes of Fierce, Arbor and Left Handed Giant all available in one great mixed case.
Want to find out more about gluten free beer, and the process we use for removing gluten in beers like Lumina, Pastel Pils and Futurist? Click here!
Father’s Day
Father’s Day may still be just over a month away, but that time will certainly fly by! We’ll be adding to our Father’s Day category page over the coming week to help you find that perfect beer gift for dad; we’ve got something big planned this year, so make sure you’re subscribed to our mailing list emails to be among the first to hear more.
If you’re subscribed to our mailing list emails and would like to avoid emails with Father’s Day content, you can update your preferences through the links featured at the bottom of each email we send.
P.S. Have you spotted our Siren socks yet? Because what’s Father’s Day without a pair of funky beer-themed treats for the feet. You can check them out here.

Turning Point Custard Sessions
Back in February, Siren Lead Brewer Jake travelled up to Yorkshire to help mash in on a very exciting entry to Turning Point’s 2025 ‘Custard Sessions’ line-up; Caribbean Matter Custard! This 11% Chocolate Custard Imperial Tropical Stout is a must-try for fans of our popular Caribbean Chocolate Cake series.
We launched all three entries from Turning Point Brew Co’s legendary Custard Sessions’ entries online, as well as in our brewery Tap Yard and flagship Reading bar. We’ve still got Caribbean Matter Custard in limited stock online, but these cans won’t last long!
Lovibonds Sour Grapes
With the recent closure of Henley-based Lovibonds Brewery, a quantity of very special, and multi award-winning bottles of ‘Sour Grapes’ barrel aged sour were left sitting without anyone to enjoy them. We offered to purchase the stock to preserve this slice of local brewing heritage, and to avoid wastage of the beer, which are now listed as a product on our webshop.
You can find out more about the beer and the brewery here, or click below to purchase your bottles today, and experience the best of Lovibonds, one last time.

Siren Stories
In April, we took the opportunity to share a selection of stories that you, our fantastic Siren community, sent over to celebrate us turning 12 - it was a real treat to read them all!
We ran a competition where one story’s winner would be chosen at random to win an Anniversary beer bundle and selection of vintage Maiden beers; congratulations to Elliot and Laura who can be seen below enjoying their winnings — cheers!
We're so grateful for everyone who has joined us for our craft beer journey, whether you've been there from the start or discovered our beers just yesterday - here's to the next 12 years! You can read a selection of 12 stories for 12 years through the link below.

Recent Releases
Is your fridge looking a little light? Make sure you’re stocked up on our recent releases for the sunny days ahead! Here’s what you might have missed out on in April…
White Tips - 4.5% White Session IPA
We mark the start of Spring with White Tips, our expression of a wit beer combined with IPA levels of hops. A traditional Belgian yeast works in harmony with orange, grapefruit and lime zest, plus a healthy hop dosing, to create a balanced Session IPA that is sure to pull you in wave after wave.
Suspended In Simcoe - 4% Hazy Pale Ale
April’s ‘Suspended In’ went back to utilising a classic hop, Simcoe, to treat pubs and venues up and down the country. This is the latest edition of our rotational 4% Hazy Pale Ale, exclusively available on keg in pubs - you’ll likely still find it in the wild out and about, and at our RG1 Reading bar!
Zipline - 5.8% Crisp IPA
If you like your IPAs crisp, fresh and snappy, then get on the Zipline. We keep this style super clean, with minimal pale malts adding just a hint of sweetness to embellish the Simcoe, Citra and Nelson Sauvin hop character.
Two Worlds Apart - 6.5% Modern West Coast IPA
Beachwood is an incredible brewery based in Huntington Beach, California, making a wide range of beers but best known for hop-forward, West Coast styles. We're both experimenting intently with advanced hop products in crisp, clean beers - so jumped at the chance to team up with them on a bold, bright and resinous IPA.
Defiant Jazz - 5.5% Sour IPA with Raspberry & Peach
The tartness of a soured, hazy IPA base is balanced by smooth, sweet lactose and tropical, aromatic hops in this fun and flavoursome collaboration with Vault City. Additions of raspberry & peach purée add colour and depth of flavour, with zingy refreshment.
A Road Less Travelled - 11.5% Barrel Aged Wee Heavy
Sometimes it’s the journey, sometimes it’s the destination. A delightful spirit-elevated blend of fruit, chocolate, wood and more; we had a lot of fun taking this road together with our friends at Fierce Beer. And that has made all the difference.
